Wetwheels : 10 and 12 June 201910th Jun 2019
A group of our young people got the opportunity go out on one of Wetwheels powerboat trips, leaving Ramsgate harbour. They went out seal spotting along Sandwich sand banks and got a chance to steer the twin 300 HP engine power boat! Although the sea was particularly choppy that day it did not stop any of our young people pushing the throttle up and getting everyone else soaking wet from the sea spray.
Wetwheels is a charitable organisation which started up in Ramsgate last Easter. Its aims are to help individuals with SEN and physical disabilities build confidence by providing the opportunity to access the sea in a fun, safe, stimulating and rewarding way using specially modified, fully accessible powerboats.
