Competency Framework

Aet school programme logoThe Competency Framework is a free resource from the AET and it is designed to allow staff to reflect upon and evaluate their practice and aims to provide a source of guidance to help schools assess and and develop capacity within their workforce to improve outcomes of pupils on the autism spectrum.

There are 58 competencies that have been linked to the Teaching Standards, the AETs Autism Standards and the SEN Code of Practice.  These measures will allow teachers or school managers to regularly review practice and track improvement towards autism inclusion and education.
