Sky Sport: Living For Sport

This year we are part of a particularly exciting project! We have linked with a local secondary school and are part of the Sky Sports project which will be running over the next year. We have an athlete mentor attached to the project which is a schools initiative that uses sports stars and sport skills to:Bradstow school

  • Boost confidence
  • Change behaviours
  • Increase Attainment
  • Improve life skills

We were lucky enough to be visited by Nicola Minichiello who is an Olympic Gold medal winner.

“When Team Minichiello were crowned World Champions at Lake Placid in February 2009, it marked a historic victory for the founding nation of the sport.

The first British women ever to lift a global bobsleigh title and the first GB World gold medallists in the sport since 1965, Team Minichiello continue to strive for success in the coming season.

Nicola joined the children at Bradstow School, along with the boys from Ursuline College, for Christmas dinner. We then got together afterwards for a game of football and enjoyed a game outside on our new Astroturf.
