Investors In People Champion

 wandsworth special school

In the last few weeks we have had a review of our Investors in People.  This review happens every three years and it has recently changed so that organisations can now opt to go for a higher standard if they feel this can be achieved.  We decided to go for the top award – the Champion Standard.

The assessor was here for four days a few weeks ago and interviewed twenty six staff from all areas of work.  At the end of the four days she informed us that we had easily achieved the Gold Standard.  We are one of the first organisations to achieve this and are very proud.

We have always considered ourselves good employers and achieving this standard, with its vigorous requirements, has shown that our investment in training and developing our staff is significant and well worth while.

IiP’s report stated:

“Investment in learning and development is significant – far in excess of what would normally be expected in a state school”.

Well done to everyone!
