The Mayor of Broadstairs performed the opening in the presence of an invited audience, which included Laura Sandys, our local Member of Parliament.

Outside groups in the community are already using the area for football and some have shown interest for cycling.

Meridian Television attended the opening and broadcast the opening on 14th October.

Broadstairs Comrades Club have kindly sponsored  Bradstow School’s 5-a-side team and the first 5-a-side Challenge Trophy Day will take place on 26th May 2012, they have also paid for printing on the new football kit.

A second presentation was made by a Masonic Lodge who donated £600 towards portable floodlighting.
