Our Admissions Policy
Admission to Bradstow School are by referral from the Local Authority. Currently all children and young people who are referred will have been assessed and a statement produced under the terms of 1996 Education Act.
Each child or young person’s application is considered against three levels of criterion:
- The Child
- The Family
- The School
As part of the enrolment procedure parents, and where appropriate the child or young person, visit the school. If the parents feel that Bradstow would be suitable for their child or young person, staff from the school visit the child’s current provision.
This provides both the school and parents with a valuable insight into the needs of the child or young person, an evaluation of the appropriateness of Bradstow, and assists with the production of an induction plan to enable a successful transition into our school. It also ensures that parents are fully briefed about the school and what it has to offer their child.
Visits can be arranged by contacting the school office.
Applications must be made via your local education authority
